Our heat and seal tea bags (also referred to as “press and seal”) are super easy to seal with a hot iron or curling iron (minimum 200 degrees). The paper is naturally whitened with Hydrogen Peroxide and contain no Dioxins or glue. One pound of tea would fill approximately 100 of the large tea bags. The large tea bag holds about 1/2 cup, and are absolutely perfect for bathing herbs, bath salts, sachets, botanicals, potpourri, simmering potpourri, milling spices, and I’m sure you can find many other uses for them. Outside bag dimensions are: 5 & 1/4″ x 3 & 7/8″. The tea bags consist of human-made thermoplastic fibers (in the heat seal), cellulose fibers, and abaca (a plant in the banana family) which is also known as Manila hemp. Our tea bags are compostable, but not biodegradable (due to the thermoplastic heat seal). Made in the USA.
