Press and Seal Tea Bags. Also referred to as “heat and seal” tea bags. These are super easy to seal with a hot iron or curling iron (minimum 200 degrees). The paper is naturally whitened with Hydrogen Peroxide. They contain no Dioxins or glue. One pound of tea will fill approximately 100 of the large tea bags. Each large tea bag holds about 1/2 cup. They’re perfect for bathing herbs, bath salts and sachets. You can also use them for botanicals, potpourri, simmering potpourri and milling spices. I’m sure you can find many other uses for them, too. Outside bag dimensions are: 5 & 1/4″ x 3 & 7/8″. The bags consist of human-made thermoplastic fibers (in the heat seal), cellulose fibers, and abaca. Abaca is a plant in the banana family which is also known as Manila hemp. They are compostable, but not biodegradable because of the thermoplastic heat seal. Made in the USA.
