Our Silica gel packets provide a simple and economical solution for controlling moisture in a variety of packaging applications, such as shipping or storing electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food products. Made in the USA with highly porous silica gel, these desiccant gel packets are designed to absorb 40 percent of their weight in water. These packets MUST BE STORED IN AN AIR-TIGHT CONTAINER OR ZIP LOCK BAG WITH THE AIR SQUEEZED OUT. Each silica gel packet will protect 24 cu in and our largest packer bottle is 150 ml or 9 cu in, so 1 packet is plenty for packer bottles of any size up to about 450-500 ml. 

The packets remain dry and free flowing even at full water vapor capacity while maintaining their shape, size, and texture. They adsorb moisture faster at high humidity levels and you can dry these packets in the oven to remove retained water vapor between uses, allowing you to reactivate them and make the most of your desiccant packets. With these packets, you can trust that your products will arrive at their destination in optimal condition.

Instructions for re-charging (drying out) your 1/2-gram silica gel packets: The key is low, steady heat:

Oven method (most reliable):

• Preheat your oven to about 200–250°F (95–120°C).
• Place the packets on a baking sheet.
• Heat for about 30 minutes
• Let it cool in a dry place before using.
